Each block could be a flat 2d image on the ground in the 3d scene. the 2d image could be broken up into rectangles sized based upon the transaction size or data amount. (hivelink)
Visitors to the scene have a button to automatically download and display the 3d objects. This button turns on and off easily and quickly.
